Terms of Service
Clear terms for the free app, optional ads and Premium subscriptions.
These terms govern your use of Neo Gallery, provided by Neo Gallery Team. By using the app you agree to these terms, subject to rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law. Privacy practices are explained in our Privacy Policy.
1. Use of the app
You receive a personal, non-exclusive licence to use the app on compatible Android devices that you own or are authorized to use. You retain your rights to your photos and videos. You must have the rights or permission needed to edit, manage and share media.
Do not use the app unlawfully, redistribute it without authorization, interfere with its operation, or circumvent purchase or security controls. Restrictions on modification and reverse engineering apply only to the extent permitted by law; statutory exceptions remain available.
2. Free themes, rewarded access and ads
- Pure Black and Pure White are free. Pure Black is the default theme. Neither requires watching a rewarded ad or buying Premium.
- Obsidian and Ivory can be unlocked individually for 24 hours by completing the offered rewarded ad, or used while Premium is active. Ad availability is not guaranteed. Closing an ad before earning its reward does not grant the advertised unlock.
- The other ten theme palettes require active Premium access. Premium is normally provided through a subscription, with developer-issued Special access available to authorized recipients as described below.
The free app is supported by Google AdMob advertising, including banner, app-open, interstitial and optional rewarded formats. An ordinary interstitial may appear at a navigation break after finishing theme selection, including selection of the free Black or White theme. An ad does not turn these themes into paid or time-limited themes. Frequency and availability vary; the app does not guarantee an ad after every action.
Some optional operations may offer an ad-supported action. Any reward is described before you choose to watch. When a temporary theme unlock ends, or Premium access is no longer active, an unavailable selected theme may return to the free default. Active Premium suppresses ads.
3. Premium subscriptions
Monthly and yearly subscriptions are offered through Google Play, subject to availability. Neo Gallery does not offer a free trial. The purchase screen shows the current local price, billing period and applicable purchase terms before confirmation. Payment is charged when the purchase is confirmed.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the next renewal. Manage cancellation in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Neo Gallery, or open Google Play subscriptions. Follow the renewal date shown by Google Play; these terms do not impose a separate universal 24-hour cancellation deadline.
After cancellation, access normally continues for the period already paid for, unless a refund, revocation or another applicable purchase event changes the entitlement. After it ends, ads and feature restrictions may return.
Use the same Google Play account and the app's restore-purchases option to recheck an existing purchase. Verification/restoration can require an internet connection and Google Play availability. Restoring a purchase does not restore deleted photos or vault files.
Refunds follow Google Play's refund policy and applicable consumer law. Cancellation alone does not automatically refund earlier charges. Contact support if you need help identifying the appropriate refund route.
Authorized Special access
Authorized reviewers can use developer-issued Special access in version 1.1.6 and later. Open Settings, scroll to the Android/API and app-version card at the bottom, tap it three times quickly, then enter the supplied code and choose Unlock. This grants the same Premium features, including ad suppression, without a purchase or free trial. The code has no expiry or device-count limit. Access is stored on that installation; after clearing app storage or reinstalling, enter the code again. Use Deactivate in the same dialog to return to your normal entitlement; paid subscriptions are not cancelled. Special access does not unlock an existing private vault or bypass its PIN, pattern or biometric protection. Credentials are supplied privately to authorized recipients and are not published here.
4. Local files, vault and recycle bin
Neo Gallery is not a cloud backup service. Vault contents use local AES-256/GCM encryption with Android Keystore-managed keys; hardware protection depends on the device. We do not guarantee StrongBox support or recovery after loss of local data or keys.
Eligible recycle-bin entries older than 30 days are deleted when the app next runs its cleanup. Timing depends on app use. Recovery copies whose original deletion was not confirmed may remain to protect against data loss. Restore files you need promptly; manually emptied or cleared app-private storage cannot be recovered by our support team.
Before clearing app storage or uninstalling, restore/export vault and bin files you want to retain. Ordinary shared photos and exports usually remain after uninstall; manage those separately. See data deletion instructions.
5. Availability and responsibility
Features can depend on Android version, permissions, device capabilities and service availability. AI cutout results may need review or correction. Keep independent backups of media important to you. Except for rights and obligations that cannot lawfully be excluded, the app is provided as available without a promise of uninterrupted operation, perfect results or compatibility with every device.
Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory consumer protections or liability that applicable law does not allow us to exclude. Google Play and other services may apply their own terms to their services.
6. Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the app changes. The date above identifies the current version; material changes and subscription changes will be handled with any notice or consent required by applicable law and Google Play rules.
